Porn Kills Love Movement Denigrated by Daily Beast

pornkillsloveAssociating the Porn Kills Love movement launched by Fight The New Drug, an organization in Utah founded by members of the church, with Mormon involvement with Proposition 8, The Daily Beast decides to denigrate their campaign of billboards in the San Fransisco area. This group is fighting pornography and The Daily Beast is defending it. The article inaccurately focuses on the research of Dr. Donald Hilton, a Mormon neurosurgeon and then stating, “Worth noting here is a 2014 Archives of Sexual Behavior study which found that religiosity is a predictor of belief in porn addiction.” Which of course is common sense but has nothing to do with science. The Daily Beast ignores much of the other scientific research that Fight The New Drug relays through its website and campaigns.

What is ironic and very disturbing is the article that immediately follows this one about a young woman who was kidnapped, tortured and murdered as a man and his two female friends played out their fantasies.

I was happy to see the Porn Kills Love T-shirt worn by Neon Trees drummer Elaine Bradley while performing on the TV show, Late Night with Seth Meyer a couple of months ago.
