Are we Hardwired to be Religious Because of Evolution?

The problem with this article is not science vs. religion. It is dogma. When our sense of truth is filtered through one specific belief system, be that scientific, religious, political, etc., then we skew the outcome by forcing our assumptions through that dogmatic filter. I know political progressives and conservatives who see the world in only one way and all of their efforts, beliefs and assumptions are a result of tying themselves to a strong ideology. But ALL of these ideologies are flawed. Without rising above such ideologies, we become subject to them.

In this case, a purely secular view of religion is put up by an evolutionist. Because of course, if one believes in evolution (no problem by me by the way), and doesn’t believe in a higher, creative power, then of course all human characteristics, including spirituality and religion, MUST be explained through evolution. Right?
