Religious Freedom, LDS, Mromon, Thomas Jefferson

One of three things Jefferson wanted on his grave stone was, author of the “Statute of Virginia For Religious Freedom”, Wikimedia Commons

Jefferson’s “Wall of Separation” letter is a precursor to the “Establishment Clause” in the First Amendment of the Constitution. He is responding to a group of Baptists in the state of Connecticut who felt their religious freedoms were limited compared to the majority religions of the state.
