  1. Ephriam and Manasseh. were sons of Joseph AND Asenath. She was one of the most important women in the history of the House of Israel. Hummnnnn. I had forgotten her name. Shame on me, but there are few mentions or reminders.

    • Yes, I am well aware of Asenath. Daughter of the High Priest at On (Heliopolos). You should read ‘Joseph and Asenath’ if you haven’t already. It is a book about priesthood. Since the verses referred to Joseph, that is who I referenced. Also, because the play on names is the focus of that chapter with Lehi’s son Joseph, Joseph of Egypt and both Joseph Smith Sr. and Joseph Smith Jr.

      • Thank you. I have watched so many of your podcasts and appreciate the acknowledgement of women, more so than most. We know the ancient tradition of men writing to men, and women lost to history and barely mentioned. We know the Savior tried to correct that during His meridian of time ministry. But traditions are hard to break. I see a ‘correcting’ happening and your lectures help. I was disappointed in myself that I couldn’t remember her name.
